Devizes Westminster - the Canoeist's Everest

Richmond has a long and proud association with this race, and in many ways we like to refer to it as "our race". It is an incredible event and Richmond has helped many paddlers at all levels compete and complete the race.

If you are a novice crew, who have never paddled K2 before we suggest you look at the Adult Beginners Group and let the coach know that you intend to compete in the DW. This is not a race to be taken lightly, training should ideally have started the year before and be more intensive than most paddlers at the club.

The club will help you out with a boat if you are members, and the coaches feel you are not a risk to yourselves or the boat, the club retains the right to withdraw consent for the use of the boat or place conditions on it.

If you have been a member for less than a year and wish to use club equipment in the race you may be asked to pay an additional fee.
